What we do

PropFirmReviewDesk reviews proprietary trading firms — companies that fund traders to trade the firm's capital in exchange for a share of profits. The industry has grown explosively and is full of firms making similar-sounding promises, and it is genuinely hard for a trader to tell which ones will actually pay. We exist to make that decision easier, using a consistent scorecard and an honest account of our own evidence.

How we work

We score every firm against the same four weighted pillars — rule transparency, payout reliability, trading conditions, and trader experience — described in full in our methodology. We purchase and run challenges where we can, verify specs against firms' published terms, and draw on documented trader feedback for the rest. We always label which of those applies to a given firm, using an explicit evidence level on every review.

What we test vs verify

We think the most important thing a review site can do is be honest about how much it actually knows. So we separate, on every page, what we have personally tested from what we have verified against public terms from what rests on third-party feedback. We will never imply first-hand testing we haven't done. When we have run a firm's challenge, we say so; when we are working from its published rulebook, we say that too.

How we make money

We may earn affiliate commissions when readers sign up through some of our links. We disclose this on every relevant page, and it does not influence our scoring — affiliate status carries zero weight in our rankings, and firms we earn from are scored on the same scorecard as those we don't. You can read the full statement in our affiliate disclosure. If we ever get something wrong or out of date, our corrections policy explains how we fix it.

A word on risk

Trading is risky, and prop-firm trading especially so — most traders who attempt challenges do not pass them, and passing is not a path to guaranteed income. Nothing on this site is financial advice, and a firm's strong past payout record is not a guarantee of future behaviour. We aim to help you choose a better firm, not to suggest that any firm is a sure thing.
