What Goat Funded Trader is

Goat Funded Trader (GFT) is a forex and CFD prop firm founded in 2023 that grew quickly through competitive pricing and a flexible range of evaluation plans — 1-step, 2-step and 3-step — letting traders pick the structure that fits their style. It has built an active community and a strong early Trustpilot presence.

As a 2023 firm we have not independently tested, we list GFT under Other Firms. The assessment below draws on its published terms and documented trader feedback. As with any fast-growing newer firm, treat the headline terms as a starting point and verify before committing a large account.

Who Goat Funded Trader is best for

Forex traders who want flexible plan options (1-, 2- or 3-step) and competitive pricing from a newer, fast-growing firm, and who are comfortable trialing an untested firm with a smaller account first.

Who should avoid it

US-based traders (GFT is restricted), traders who want the longest track record, and anyone uncomfortable with a firm we have not independently tested. Mixed drawdown across plans also means you must check the type per plan.

The rules that actually matter

Mixed drawdown — check per plan. GFT's drawdown structure varies across its 1-, 2- and 3-step plans. Confirm whether your chosen plan uses a static or trailing floor before buying. See static vs trailing drawdown.

Flexible plan range. The 1-, 2- and 3-step options carry different targets, pricing and rules. Pick the plan that matches your style and read its specific rulebook.

Verify specifics. Because we have not tested GFT, confirm the daily drawdown, profit-split tiers, news-trading rules and payout cadence against the firm's own terms.

Payout timeline

GFT advertises on-demand payouts after an initial period. We have not independently verified a payout cycle, and as a 2023 firm its track record is still building — confirm the current payout experience and any minimum-days requirement on the firm's own site before relying on it.

Platform availability

GFT supports MT5 and cTrader, the two most popular modern forex platforms. There is no MT4 option, and the platforms do not provide US access.

US trader access

Goat Funded Trader restricts US-based traders. If you trade from the US, see our US trader guide for the firms we rank that accept US traders.

Drawdown example

Because GFT uses mixed drawdown across plans, the structure depends on the plan you choose. On a static-floor plan, a $100,000 account's floor stays fixed and profit becomes a buffer; on a trailing-floor plan, the floor rises with your gains and a pullback is more likely to breach. Always confirm the type for your specific plan before trading.

Consistency rule & risks

GFT's main risk is the combination of being newer and untested-by-us with mixed drawdown across plans. The mitigation is straightforward: read the specific plan's rulebook, confirm the drawdown type and any consistency conditions, and trial with a smaller account before scaling.

Pricing & value

GFT's pricing is competitive and varies by plan and promotion, which is part of why it grew quickly. As an untested newer firm, the sensible approach is a smaller first account to evaluate the real experience. Confirm current pricing on the firm's own site.
